It was the first major outdoor stadium concert, generating a record $304,000 gross and over $160,000 for the band. The immense screaming made it impossible to hear the music, creating an iconic moment of Beatlemania.
Tickets ranged from $4.50 to $5.75 and sold out in less than three weeks.
